ABORIGINAL BUSINESS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM(ABLP) – SOUTH WEST

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is sponsoring the ABLP program.  This program is now open to all Aboriginal business leaders, business owners or emerging leaders in the region (Bunbury-Wellington/Vasse /Warren-Blackwood)  for immediate application.

The Betterlink Group will be delivering the program which will consist of three workshop sessions of two days duration with likely content to include:

Session 1: Planning Session

Self-assessment, networking, goal setting, action planning, business and strategic planning, plus understanding financial and legal aspects of business

Session 2: Business Development

Marketing, getting ready for growth, partnering and collaboration, tender and procurement, negotiating, market opportunities

Session 3: People Management

Human resources and industrial relations, leading high performing teams, understanding emotional intelligence, effective leadership

Each session will follow on from the previous one with individual action planning with participants to ensure items learnt can be translated into actions relevant to the participant and their business. Workbooks and other resources will be available for each session. Coaching and mentoring will begin once participants are accepted onto the program.
